Leopard Frog Dragon 1
This is one of the very first 3 Frog Dragons to be looking for a new home!
The Story of the Frog Dragons
It's a little known fact that Dragons aren't mythological, nor are they a thing of the past. Hunted nearly to extinction in the Middle Ages, many species of dragon adapted by becoming masters of camouflage. They evolved characteristics that resemble other creatures, and live among these creatures for safety. You should always look twice at critters you see in nature, you never know what you may be missing! This particular Frog Dragon was found living amongst a group of Leopard Frogs. They primarily eat insects, which they sometimes roast with their fire breath. More properly a species of drake (they have long lost the ability to fly), they have hidden "wings" attached to their front legs that allow them to glide in a pinch.
The Making of the Frog Dragons
Frog Dragons may look real, but they're hand-made pieces of art. Each Frog Dragon starts out as an original sculpture, which I sculpted in Zbrush and printed on my Resin Printer. These pieces are each lovingly hand-painted in great detail to give them the appearance of a real little creature. It has been given several coats of glossy varnish to protect the paint, and give it a wet, fresh-from-the-pond look.
Caring for Frog Dragons
These pieces are not toys, but rather works of art, and they should be treated as such. Although they've been given that glossy varnish, they aren't waterproof, and shouldn't be submerged or left in damp places for prolonged periods (a quick photo will be fine though!).
